As recently announced by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina, the Court is in the process of adopting a Loan Modification Management Program to facilitate residential mortgage modifications in Chapter 13 cases.  The proposed procedures are posted on the Court's website for public comment through May 17, 2019.  It is anticipated that the program will be available to Chapter 13 debtors and lenders shortly after the conclusion of the comment period. 

The proposed procedures contemplate the selection of one or more Facilitators, as that term is defined in the proposed procedures.  The Office of the United States Bankruptcy Administrator for the Western District of North Carolina seeks applications from those interested in serving as a Facilitator for the Loan Modification Management Program.

Individuals interested in applying are encouraged to review additional information available in the Facilitator Application.  Applications should be submitted by May 17, 2019.
